Three hour decant. Very deep magenta color. Strawberry, black currant compote, geraniums, hazelnut and molasses on the nose. Smooth, lighter bodied palate, with tongue drying acidity. Firm, yet soft tannins on the medium finish. Finish is way too short for this price point.

Maroon out to purple rim. Pure Cabernet on the nose. Black currant and currant leaf, red cherry, forest herbs, and wet stone on the nose. Elegant on the palate with a gentle entry leading to a punch of acidity that gets the juices flowing. The acid lifts the tart red fruit up front and the dried flowers, cassis and dark herbs provide bass notes. Marked minerality throughout and mere hints of the resinous, coniferous qualities I get from Spring Mtn. A restrained, old school Napa Cabernet clearly from a cooler vineyard. Age will be good to this wine. Hold.

Black berry, fresh leather, dried earth, hot brick and flower shop. Medium-to full-bodied, with a long, red fruit finish. Vast and cottony tannins. Fleshy as well. Drink now - 2033.

An unheard of Cali cab with 13.1% alc and picked at 26.5 brix....how do you do that with mountain fruit? It is a bit thin in the mouth, but the tart cherry is quite good....and as could be expected, you can drink all you want and you won't feel it.
