  • Served this blind to two knowledgeable wine guys and they were leaning Vosne due to the aromatics and spice characteristics (like LB88). This was a beautiful, big rich wine showing very youthful and stout. Very happy to have a couple more and will resist hitting the next one for a few years. 93+. Interesting to note that everything with this bottle was pristine, needed only the basic “waiter’s friend” corkscrew to easily and cleanly remove the cork. Cork was pristine, not a bit of red on it, save the very tip in contact with the wine (for how long? Seemed like it might have been months, not 37 years!!!). I periodically speculate on wines that were late releases or “touched up”. This goes to the head of the line.

  • This was a much better bottle than the first bottle I had, light delicate florals with some vosne spices and just enough tannins and structure left. Gorgeous

  • Beautiful barnyard and light florals. Opened and was drinking well but faded a little after abt 2 hours! Time to drink this up.

  • During a Paulee dinner, so only brief impressions. Wow this bottle was in good shape. First class nose of red fruit, game, dried meat. Wonderful
