  Bright purple with a violet hue, nice but subdued perlage. The nose is clean and aromatic, with black fruit, red flowers and a touch of earthiness. The palate is off-dry, but with plenty of acidity to balance out the sugar. The tannins are mild and the alcohol is medium (-) (11%). This is a nicely-balanced, very approachable and soft sparkling red which goes beautifully with smoked or braised meats and spicy oriental cuisine.
