  • Brick coloured, complex nose with spices, red and dark berries, a touch of oak. Taste with more red berries, good acidity, soft but still present tannins. Alcohol 14.5 %. A very balansed wine. Drinks perfectly at the moment.
It was great to reindeer, cream sauce with cognac, sauted brussel sproutes, fried sliced potatoes spice with juniper berreis, and pickled lingon berries.

  • Solid Priorat for the price, Blackberry, blueberry licorice , saddle leather and a hint of vanilla.
Ready to go with a splash decant of and hour or two, ripe and lightly stewed red and black fruit, polished tannins abound, medium weight and very balanced , hint of sweetness bit of mint and anis on the finish.
    Very good QPR .

  • Aromas of blackberry, bramble jam, spice, smoke with black pepper. Full-bodied, big and powerful with dark plums, black fruit, cedar and allspice. Certainly not one for the weak, we do not get enough Priorat in Quebec. Certainly my favourite region in Spain.

  • Attractive and approachable Priorat wine sourced from fourteen parcels of organic growing vineyards near the village of El Molar (province of Tarragona, Catalunya), made by the renowned Catalan enologist Toni Coca. A blend of 35 % Garnatxa Negra, 25 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 % Merlot and 15 % Carinyena (each variety was fermented separately) that was aged for twelve months in French (80 %) and American (20 %) oak barrels. Intense violet-red in color and an interesting bouquet of blackberry, wild roses, licorice and a touch of cedar wood and leather. The medium to full-bodied palate shows an extremely refined wine, plenty of lush ripe cherry and plum fruit, perfectly in balance, with a good depth and well-integrated tannins. Lengthy finish. Optimal enjoyment: now–2024. A wine with an outstanding QPR. Beautiful label.

Lange afdronk. Optimaal drinkgenot: nu–2024. Een wijn met een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Prachtig etiket.

  • Priorat wine fair 2019 (and related events); 5/2/2019-5/9/2019 (Tarragona and various places in Priorat): Then to the two top wines of this producer. The Galena is light in colour. A bit heavy on the oak. Will probably integrate with age. Beautiful smell. Dark fruits mainly. Tannins pronounced for now. Red and black fruit on the tongue. A bit astringent now but will most likely come together with 2 or 3 years in bottle.
