Full bodied, more towards modern styling. Much too young, had to try one - give it 4 years for a start. Saturating purple berries, dried violets, cassis, conifer needles, with hints at forthcoming olive brine and meat. An excellent Cornas, without the name. 92-93 potential.
Day 2 edit: vacuumed overnight; gorgeous, purple, massive, and no sign of oxidation. Secondaries peeking through more. This may take a while to mature. 2028 onward?

Dark and thick as motor oil. Notes of tar, black olives. Very tight and unforgiving, even after several days in the fridge. Pronounced tannins. Lots of matter here, concentration. This needs 5 years in the cellar if not 10. Great potential.

France and Italy - May 6 to May 10, 2019: From Cornas not on the slope - near the river - sand and clay soils (not granite). Aromas of red fruit, anise, spices and leather. Juicy and concentrated on the palate, big middle, round structure. Great depth and length. Very nice.
