  Wonderful experience to be back after a year and enjoy this fabulous vintage. Made from a blend of 95% CF and 5% PV. Aged for 16 months in new FR oak. Deep ruby colour. Intense complex aroma of blackberries, smoky plums, cedar, tobacco, cassis, graphite, earth, leather. Full body, powerful yet restrained and harmonious, velvety texture, incredible depth of multidimensional flavour profile, medium+ sandy smooth tannins.

  A dream come true to finally taste Lodovico and even more fortunate experience to taste two vintages side by side, this and 2019. Made from a blend of 95% CF and 5% PV. Aged for 16 months in new FR oak. Complex and seductive aroma of roasted herbs, smoky plums, cedar, tobacco, cassis, hints of coffee, spice and earth. Full body, powerful, complex and multidimensional, but at same time harmonious and bright. Elegant velvety texture is in sync with rich but silky tannins and meticulously integrated acidity.

  Decanted 2,5 hours. I expected a young wine and it was (despite the time in the decanter) a bit closed. 2 hours later it was much better and really a very good wine. At the moment I would recommend to decant it at least 4,5 hours. I'm pretty sure this will be even better in 5 years. 94 pts. at the moment.
