Medium ruby red with pink rim, a little cloudy, and emergence of orange tint. Raspberry, stewed strawberry, candied cherry, honeycomb, farmyard, bread, flowers, and spices. Regretfully, it was very slightly corked. Nose of faint musty, mushroom and herbaceous nose, which was typical of a corked wine. On the palate, wine was still ok and that's how I was able to discern the tasting notes.
In any event, I paid a discounted price of USD108 + sales tax for this bottle in September 2023. I think this was way overpriced, even if it weren't corked. I believe USD60+ would have been a fair price at time of purchase.

In the context of the 2017 vintage in Chambolle, this is a relatively structured wine, transparent and precise, cool and minerally, elegant and energetic, fragrant and fresh, tightly wound, beautifully balanced, everything in the right place, flowers and red and blue berries, firm but finely grained tannins, very good persistence. The well-judged oak will need some time to integrate, but give this three to four years and you are looking at a textbook Chambolle of Premier Cru quality. Drink 2024-2032.

Structure & depth but easy to drink on its own watching TV. Dark cherry, tart berry, spices

Annual Bolomey & Sprezzatura Wine Tasting and Dinner (Restaurant Entrepot, Amsterdam, NL): Trade tasting, brief note. Just below Les Charmes. The nose is slightly muffled and flat, but the fruit and floral lift emerge on the palate, creamy, finishes with a touch of liquorice, very good length. Maybe an imperfect bottle?
