This is ageing so beautifully. Very spicy nose like cinnamon and warm earth, some menthol notes too and yes a touch of VA On the palate it's sort of Burgundy meets Southern Rhone really spicy and still with lots of fruit. Very long. A real treat to try this.

I believe this was the first WS Hirsh vintage. A light ruby color. Shows less intensity than years ago, but still a viable wine for drink-ability. Aromas and flavors of cherry, raspberry, earth, violets, some spice and oak. A fairly delicate wine nearing the end of its drinking plateau, fruit-wise. Tannins still apparent, judging by the slight acidic sting on the tongue. Surprisingly good for an almost 19 year old pinot.

13.5% alcohol. Light red cherry color, with slight bricking at the rim of the glass. Slight funk on the nose. Beautiful notes of red cherry, rich earth, a touch of spice, and plenty of flowers. Luscious and velvety in the mouth, with such bright and lively fruit, which shows this wine isn't even close to tiring. The palate caresses you with its complexity. Zingy acidity still, along with a stunning finish. A

Beautiful, but no reliable note here. My attention was elsewhere. Very enjoyable.

Similar note to the last. This shows no signs of fading and should drink well for years.
