Opened at Otto e Mezzo in HK. P&P and enjoyed slowly over dinner.
Consistent with my bottle from the night before. Sweet, seductive red fruits; so elegant on the palate showing a lot of finesse. Gorgeous and am already looking forward to revisiting.

Opened in HK. Decanted but served fairly soon after.
Was very interested to try this wine as Stella didn't make any Brunello in this challenging vintage, meaning even the best grapes made it into the Rosso. Am glad to say that this didn't disappoint! The nose was open for business very quickly, yielding red fruit and sour cherries with a hint of sweetness. The palate was elevated and going down very easily, with good acidity and tannins well integrated. Such a gorgeous Rosso from one of my favourite BdM producers.
Drinking very well now, but will keep at this level for a while. Already looking forward to the next one!

Eugene's birthday: Guessed 2013 traditional Nebbiolo maker in a modern, clean style like Rinaldi or Roagna; but once it was revealed to be a Brunello it could only be Stella. Precise with wonderful purity of dark red fruit. Thought the precision made it stand out from the other wines tonight. No Brunello made in ‘14 so no ordinary Rosso here.

A day 2 glass from a Stella vertical tasting yesterday; this was in the 3rd/final flight, and it's also my last bottle. Stella did not release a Brunello in this vintage, so this was our only Rosso of the tasting.
Bright red fruit on the nose. Light-bodied, with good acidity on the palate. This unfortunately followed the 2013 Brunello yesterday, so was kind of overshadowed by that stellar wine, but today on it's own, is showing very well. Not as substantive on the palate as one of her Brunellos, but a wine that can be tossed back easily and enjoyed for what it is.

A great example of a winemaker triumphing over the vintage, this is probably a selection of the best grapes as to the best of my knowledge Stella did not make a Brunello in 2014.
Bright red fruit on the nose, decent acidity and persistence on the palate - just a delicious glass of Sangiovese.
