Anton’s Wine Tasting Notes Winery: ēlicit wine project Prayers of Sinners Varietal: 90% Syrah/ 10% Merlot. Area/Appellation: Washington Vintage: 2017. Price: $11.99 (Kansas Market) Color: dark ruby with purple tinges Legs: slow to medium Nose: blackberry, red huckleberries, black olives, plum, Palate: plums, black olives, sage, Finish: simple, lean quick and then gone. Comments: A good three hour decant in the glass. (It didn’t help.) I feel they really lost something here, they finish just faded so quickly and the blend appears to be convoluted. The wine isn’t bad it just appears to me that better blending would have made it more appealing. Pairing Suggestions: BBQ Spareribs, Hamburgers, BBQ Chicken Summertime grill wine. Score in terms of Vintage: 85 Score for the Wine: 84 Value for the Money: Just OK 😐 Date Tasted: 05/22/2021 Tasted by: ACK

The wine was medium purple at the core and light purple at the rim. It had no sediment and had medium viscosity, alcohol was 14.5 %. On the nose Cocoa, gun powder , oak and blue fruits...mostly plums. On the palate the wine was off dry and medium bold with Med tannins and low acid. The wine was not complex and not fruit forward. I tasted plum, violet and oak with some cocoa bitterness. It paired with with Tri Tip and roasted vegetables.

Really nice red from Washington State. Bold, warm and smooth. Taste of plum and dried dark fruits, medium finish. Good bargain for under 10€.

This is a nice find. Full fruit, soft on the palate, yet really nice body. Well worth the price.
