The last couple of bottles have seemed a bit poxed, but this was glorious. This was pure, toasty semillon, but much fatter than the Hunter Valley version.

A surprising amount of freshness dominates the wine which hasn't developed the full, round quality which aged Semillon can deliver. A good wine but lacking in richness and complexity at present. I don't think it will change much now - but I might be pleasantly surprised.

Full, waxy semillon, excellent depth - it hasn't quite got the toasty explosion that that old Hunter Valley sems have, but it could come.
