Deep dark red with a purple hue. Sour cherry, alluring dark spice and pepper smells pull you in.
Crunchy black and red cherry skin, fresh and done tannins travel long.
The spice and sour combo puts me in the mind of Mt Langi shiraz wines from the Grampians.
Fine tannins and perky acids are in perfect balance in this medium to full bodied wine, with charry oak well integrated. This is excellent, it needs more time to show its detail which will no doubt come given its balance and persistence. This is exceptional ‘big company’ wine that keeps on coming back through its length in waves. Perfect but deliberate winemaking meets perfect fruit. Time will be very kind. 4.5/5 or 94. look again in 3-5 years.
