Attractive aromas and flavours, white flowers, citrus and toast; the light and supple palate is fresh and crisp but could do with some more body, mousse is ever so slightly coarse; light limoncello finish. Do I detect a hint of (première) taille? Assez bien.

NobleRottersSydney - Light reds (Fix, St James, Sydney): {cork, 12.5%} [Kim] Beautifully developing nose of autolysis aromas and ripe melon fruit. Partly-developed palate, very dry, with a crisp yet verging-on-dusty sort of texture. There’s less fruit presence than the bouquet promised; it feels a bit dilute or in need of more time. Chardonnay flavours; the two pinot grapes are less obvious. Medium weight, with medium creamy bubbles. I liked this but think more time will only benefit it; potential not quite fulfilled at this point.

A $40 Costco purchase. 46% Pinot Noir, 41% Chardonnay and 13% Pinot Meunier from grand and premier sites in Crussuchas, Ambonnay, Chouilly, Verzy and Avenay. 7g/l dosage. This had an aggressive bead at first which faded in the glass. Light straw color. On the creamier side. Notes of brioche and citrus. I thought this needed more complexity. 88 points.

A blend of 46% Pinot Noir, 41% Chardonnay and 13% Pinot Meunier from Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages like Ambonnay, Chouilly, Verzy and Avenay, four years sur lattes, dosage 7 gr/l. Makes the most of the quality of the ripe vintage, fluffy and comfortable style, supple and easy, light but generous, not particularly distinguished but attractive and good value.

A vinous, red-fruited and easy champagne. Good body and lenght, but only slightly mineral and quite sweet. Currently this is more about the good vintage in its youthful exuberance, less about typical champagne complexity. Very good QPR at 23 Euro.
