Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of floral notes of violets & earthy/dusty notes, spices, anise, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & cassis with spices, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging.
