I think if you opened this wine before this year or last, you may have missed the boat. Our '05, stored at 55-65 since we got it, is drinking beautifully now. Kalamata olive, black cherry, tobacco, with medium acidity and tannin. It has become very complex with age.

Popped and poured. Color was dark red. Nose showed some reductive funk, which I like. There was some slight tar/burnt rubber that came through on the palate with the medium weight darker berry fruit. The whole cluster had an added dimension as compared to the Purisma but which I would not call vegetal or stemmy in a green way. Interesting and enjoyable wine.

This wine had a light color and a nose of pomegrante and raspberry. The wine has the vegetal signs of the whole cluster, a bit pronounced at this point and perhaps another year or so in the bottle will smooth these out so they are not so forward. The wine is lighter on the palate than their Purisima Grenache.
