Light, fruity and expressive grenache. Very pleasant. Among Sierra Foothills grenaches would rank it a close second to Cedarville's. Very good value for $18.

Dark ruby color but still tranlucent. With some air this wine has a rich nose of rich plum and cherry candy, pepper, slight woodsmoke some sort of red fruit liqeur. Unfortunatly, there is also some significant chemical heat to the degree that it actually stings my nose to smell it. It is a big wine with very ripe and expansive yet simple red plum flavors and a slightly tart and sweet finish. Rating: Fair (I would call it "good" but that chemical heat on the nose is problematic. Also, a bit too ripe for me).
