Sourced from a specific block within the winery's Goldrock Estate Vineyard, the 2017 Cuvée Louisa was entirely barrel fermented, undergoing spontaneous malolactic conversion followed by 15 months of aging in French oak (57% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is a slightly hazy, light golden wine with enticing aromas of citrus, Bartlett pears, white peaches, jasmine and wet stones. Medium-bodied, fresh and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.1%), it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, adding a healthy aliquot of spicy oak. Nicely dense on the mid-palate and lengthy on the finish, this is an outstanding Chardonnay that would have been even better with a little less oak. Drink now-2027.

Nice light golden color with a hint of green. Very aromatic, with a great nose of apple, peach, and lemon not overly oaked. Full bodied mouthfeel with flavors of apple, pear, dark spices. The alcohol and acid are very well balanced with a long finish. At it's peak and good for another 2-3 years. A very well made chardonnay!
