Brought by our guests and matched perfectly with scallops and squid ink pasta; excellent acidity and balance; a touch riper than I might have expected, which worked well with the richness of the dish; lovely!; not blinded

Not reductive like the 17 Butteaux. Has that unique saline iodine character you can only get in chablis. Powerful. Nice acidity, maybe a touch on the ripe side but overall a really enjoyable expression of chablis. 92-93

This starts off with a fair bit of reduction but wow, once that’s gone we have a tremendous nose of hay bale and pear orchard which leads to a full body (is that a hint of botrytis?) of green melon cut by balancing acidity.

Still quite young with a lot of yellow stone fruit flavors, but with air and swirling more of the Chablis complexity shows through with iodine and seashells on the nose. This is a lovely wine and great at the table. Probably another 2-3 years for prime window.
