  • Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): Served single blind. For me, a slight step down from the monumental Preuses (and in some sense, a bit of a shame that the Domaine wines didn't show as well as the négociant ones). It feels like a dialled down, and slightly dilute version of the Preuses -- plenty of the same lemony acidity and minerality, but the flavour profile is a little more muted and less electric and exciting.

  • Medium to full yellow. Aroma of flint, butter, oak, touch of lime and lemon. Lovely array of rich fruit flavour with lemon and gooseberry at the front and touches of lime, peach, melon, with balancing crisp acidity and some roasted nut flavours. All these flavours are deeply elegant and integrated. Will improve.

  • Consistently strong showing on day 1. 18 months since my last bottle. Color seems to have darkened just a touch as this is now between pale to lemon yellow. Really a great GC Chablis with excellent delineation, a tightness that resolves with more air in the open bottle and great balance throughout the evening. 94

PS: Half full bottle kept in fridge over night looses a lot of the explosive freshness and delineation so not sure if this is not best to drink over the next 5 years or so. Around 91

  • A bit more than a year since my first bottle and this is developing very nicely. Still a pale yellow in the glass. Needs about 15 minutes of air in the open bottle to unfold. Great freshness and minerality, and just that little touch of roundness without showing oak or oiliness of richer wine in a warmer vintage or climate. Good length too. Wonderful Chablis - 2017 is really a great vintage for Chablis!

  • A new Chablis producer to me, hence bought a bottle to try. A very pale yellow in the glass as you could expect for a very young Chablis which does not see a lot of new oak. Plenty of citrus, very nice tension. Classic Chablis style and vintage. Excellent, will buy more.
