On the pale side of a golden yellow. Lemon, melon and saline notes with a toasty oak that stays in check. Fresh, complex and excellent, though a tick behind the 2015 for me.

The nose was subtle, with Meyer lemon, honeydew, and a bit of slate. It was medium in body, with touches of butterscotch, tropical fruit and a touch of smoke. The mild acidity lasted thru the finish. All in all, it was very tasty, although not quite up to the usual level of quality that I find in most Kistler bottlings.

I've already done three tasting notes on this wine previously so this is a short one, from memory.
It was delicious and it is all gone now.
Vs last time there was a bit more of that honey color but the taste profile was quite similar. I noted some passionfruit on the nose which jumped out at me.
Great to drink, would be interesting to see how it evolves further.

Light straw gold, nose is captivating with light, fresh, tropical notes, with toasty fresh coconut, hazelnut, and fresh thyme, sage. Energetic in the mouth, and maybe slightly reserved, minty, fresh, high toned and chalky. So much to like here, that California feel, in a structured, bright and lifted way. Hard to share :)
