Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Full gold in appearence. A nose that immediately brings you by the shore - salt, wet sand, minerals. The wood is there in the back with a salty butterscotch note and some fresh grass entwined. Super nice if a bit restrained still. The palate is fullbodied and viscous with the wood more intrusive delivering a prolonged honeyed note that embraces the clear white prune fruit that follows. It clings on the palate immensly with acidity/sourness typical of the fruit. Very long with pronounced acidity and still a bit unresolved. Give it a 3/4 years in the dark and enjoy. Colares tends to last (and improve) no matter the colour.
