What a treat. 5th wine of the night at TFH. Drank before dessert. Lime curd, white ripe apricots, praline brittle and tart, sweet apple. Terrific acidity. Hefty with lots of lift to carry such a decadent chardonnay. There is some minerality, but in a salted custard kind of way. I was gobsmacked by this wine.

Popped and poured. Bright golden color, with highlights flirting with lime green, really shines in the glass. Fresh and lively aroma, but with depth too - apricot, tangerine, citrus peel, and hints of smoke and stone. Even more lively on the palate, expanding for several seconds, filling the mouth with fresh tart apricot, citrus juice, citrus peel, and finally stone in the finish - salty and faintly smoky. Great acidity, really tart and refreshing, pulling everything together and making the difference between tasty and outright delicious. There's some silkiness to the texture, yet it dances lightly on the palate.
Increasingly interesting with an hour+ of air, with herbaceous, pine forest, spicy, earthy notes developing. Great wine!
Similar the next day, but with the addition of honey in the mid-palate, and little or no smoke. Long finish of apricot, slightly salty and stony, quite delicious.
