  • Mineral nose with a hint of earth frame gentle, jube-like strawberries and other red berries. The palate simultaneously sweet and tart, gentle red berries but just as evocative of saurbier as a sweet, sparkling wine?

  • A blend of organically farmed Gamay and Poulsard. Fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts until approximately 6% in alcohol, then lightly filtered and bottled to finish the fermentation in the bottle, producing the carbonation. 8% alcohol.

Quite light, luminous and beautifully translucent raspberry red color. Sweet and fruity nose with vibrant aromas of strawberries and brambly raspberries, some ripe apple notes, a little bit of leesy yeast, light herbal notes, a sweeter hint of blackberry jam and a touch of creaminess. The wine is off-dry to medium-sweet on the palate with a medium body and vibrant flavors of wild strawberries and cherries, some red apple tones, a little bit of apple peel bitterness, light fragrant notes of raspberry leaf tea and a hint of tart lingonberry. Although the medium-long carbonation feels quite light, soft and mellow, the overall feel is still very fresh and harmonious, thanks to the high acidity and a touch of nice, balancing bitterness. The finish is quite long, off-dry and enjoyably fresh with flavors of wild strawberries and red apples, some brambly black raspberry tones, a little bit of stony minerality, light cherry notes and a sweeter hint of redcurrant marmalade.

Consistently a very lovely and hands-down smashable Cerdon. Exemplary balance between the sweetness, the fruit, the acidity and the light bitter nuances. Lovely with slightly sweet desserts and simply drinks itself if served on its own. Terrific value at 13,50€.

  • Random wines tried before service (Oinoscent): Tasted at Oinoscent before service.
Strawberry hazy colour, the nose shows earthy notes, heavy floral profile, a lot of carbonation, earthy again in palate, sweet, currant, red cherry, medium body and finish.
Well made for an easy fun drinking sparkler, demi sec and it shows.

  • Relatively sweet. Certainly good as a an aperitif. Although went reasonably well with the falafel we had with it for dinner.

  • Super fun drink. A glass of this is perfect - but dont think I could take down the entire bottle by myself. This is begging to be paired with a nice turkey dinner.
