I opened my 1st bottle (of 2) too young (in 2009) and this 2nd bottle slightly past its peak. Still showing enough robust black fruit with softened structure, but everything is getting tired. Best once open for 15-20 minutes, losing steam at the 2-hour mark.

Maybe past peak, but still a lot of fun. Oxidized a bit, which may have muted the black and red fruit, pepper, and garrigue flavors. I wasn't a huge fan of the finish, but that's my only knock on the wine. I felt the finish was a bit harsh and had a weird, dried-papyrus thing going on.

Austere and somewhat odd to me syrah. Lots of acidity. Licorice, herbs and a bit of sandlewood in the flavors but overall rather thin. Not something I would seek out again.

Tastes like a very nice non-manipulated North Rhone wine. Traditionally styled. A bit rough around the edges on the first day, but excellent the second day. Rich flavours of meat and red fruits. Medium bodied, some tannins, good acidity. I really like this wine.

another off bottle, I would say corked due to what others say here, but it is more adhesive than a typical corked flavor. alas, not the best.
