Cork soaked about 1/4" up. Color is inky purple with thick quick legs. Blackberries, vanilla, violets, with just a hint of smoked pork. Medium mouth feel and salty, bright palate. Balanced and powerful. Enjoyed the minerality and black tea that lingers for almost a minute.
Quite special, as usual.

Ripe dark fruit, medium to full bodied, well structured, slight jaminess. Solid, straightforward effort for this price point (cost me $30 in California), good 'all-arounder' but no real complexity here. Drink by 2023/2024...

Wonderful. Dried stone fruit (cherry + apricot?) on the nose. Excellent balance, with a smooth mouth feel and the tingle of peppery spice. The taste opens with dried stone fruit, shifting to oak flavors and gentle tannins, leaving an aftertaste of grapes and smoke.

Beautiful dark cherry with white pepper and spice. Luscious mouthfeel and long finish.
