Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • France Trip 2019; 9/9/2019-9/23/2019 (France): The way they described this wine was essentially it is the Domaine La Tour Vieille Banyuls Rimage, but then they put it in oak for an additional 10 months. The wines are very different too. The Rimage is driven by bright red fruit. This on the other hand has much more of a fig and raisin taste to it. Surprisingly different considering they start off so similar. This style is somewhere between a tawny and ruby port. Not as aged tasting as a tawny, but has a hint.
