Notes say watermelon, black cherry, plum and some alcohol. Finish seemed a bit tight so wonder what others think about this wine's drink window. Probably has life ahead of it and oughta sleep a bit more.

Melville Wine Dinner (Antonello Ristorante - Costa Mesa, CA): A very interesting and aromatic mix of black cherries, raspberries, caramel, toffee and a pinch of white pepper. Intriguing and complex with very nice acidity. 90-91 points and my WOTF.

Tasted at an offline so no formal notes. Opened and served immediately without decanting. Solid Pinot Noir in a more restrained style than seems to be emerging from California these days. Enjoyed it.

Good, but seemed a tad too thick for me still. Not sure if I am jsut growing out of this style and preferring the much more restrained versions from Sonoma Coast. Still enjoyable. 88pts.

Amazing how much structure this wine still has in it. Black cherry, earth, and toast. Over time, became more lush but can go 2 more years.
