Really good. On opening light fresh fruits with strawberry notes. Given air some depth and intensity develops . Sharp acidity and energy - just lovely , 13.5% better than many mid range burgs I’ve tasted and one of best oregons Excellent

Mike's American Series Oregon Dinner (Hawthorne, Kew, TW9): To die for nose (pot pourri, strawberry fruits, rose petals, forest floor etc.). Delicate and balanced with laser precision. Kind of frustrating because to my palate it needed a bit more midpalate depth and seemed clipped on the finish. Yet for what it is, it is great, and quite compelling, and unanimous WOTN.

Mike's Oregon Dinner (Hawthorn): Arresting nose, spicy and very fruit-forward, which with a bit of time gained precision and coelesced into a lovely bright strawberry note. Peppery and elegant on the palate, with a nice balance between sweet and sour, then a delicious, lingering finish. After time in glass the wine seemed to lose a bit of nuance and energy, presumably as it warmed up. Overall, I was reminded me of a Grivot Vosne village, which I intended as a compliment but is (to my surprise) actually quite a bit less expensive than this wine. Still v good though, and deserved group WOTN.

Mike H’s Oregon @ Hawthorne: Bright mid ruby. Nicely bright mid red fruit nose. Lovely, real energy. Relatively leggy in the glass. Silky. Cool red fruit. Slightly candied red fruit nose. Just a touch of heat on the finish but not too much. Elegant and bright. ****
