This bottle was a pretty linear and primary showing. Purity of fruit is evident and refinement is also notable, but it is skimming the surface at the moment. Leave these alone for five years. Lemony yellow citrus goodness that is a bit strict is what one gets for now. A few hours of air didn’t change much here. DIAM 10.

Pretty, pale lemon colour. Attractive nose, fumy reduction, with yellow fruit and some rocky minerality, like a GG Riesling. Seamless and tasty, with quite a bite to the palate that provides a point of focus and interest to the backdrop of ripe fruit (even a touch of mango), sweet flowers and creamy oak. Approachable, delicious and refreshing - great first experience of this producer.

Good but perhaps a little underwhelming for what it was - perhaps more depth will come with age

Jasper on Terroir: Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Folatières (67 Pall Mall TV): The biggest owner of Folatières, with plots in the centre and the north. Not much new wood used.
