  • 2/25/2024 Day 1: This wine has good structure, berries and earth notes (graphite/flint) on day one. 2/22/2024 Day 2: It definitely opened up more on day two. 2/27/2024 Day 3: But day three was the best so far. Much Fuller flavors, still good tannins and structure. Lots of dark fruit on the nose. Good dark grape fruit on the pallet, and still some graphite or flint notes. Much bigger today than the prior two days so far. This wine will probably make it to day four. 2/28/2024 Day 4: UPDATE Yes, this wine indeed made it hardily in to day four, and it looks like it may probably even make a strong day five. But I poured the whole glass and I'm finishing the bottle today. Mild floral on the nose, with nice dark fruit and cinnamon pepper. On the palate, healthy dark fruit still, light tannins, subtle earthy undertones, and nice coating mouthfeel. Long finish, good soft tannins. This wine kept getting better each day..

  • Popped and poured, 60 F. Nose of rich cherry, dried tobacco and notes of blueberry, vanilla and rusted iron. No noticeable heat, oak and alcohol well-integrated. Chewy, slightly velvety tannins, pleasant acidity with a bit of bite. Cherry and plum fruits on the palate, hints of orange, copper. Long drying finish. Great QPR.

  • I had to think about this wine. Cherry orange iron and earth. Light to medium bodied and a long puckering finish. I think a couple years will take away the rough edges and I’m going to hold for a bit.

  • The first thing I will write is that this is a very unusual Chianti, for me at least. Soft, but more appropriate word will be - a gentle. A complete lack of spiciness, and what I don't know if it's worse, but what is the
strangest is the taste of orange, that dominates there. A very drinkable wine with soft tannins in the middle and grippy in finish, mild acidity. People like it, I like it, but my pizza not so much. Anyway, I got to know an interesting type of Chianti or not always all that glitters is a gold.
