First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): "Served blind Medium minus intensity aromas of slight lime/citrus, a little honey, lanolin. Medium plus intensity acidity, tangy ripe apples, slightly citrus, plenty of alcohol warmth, waxy, honey again but sour. Nah. Older Australian single varietal from Victoria, difficult to work out what this was. More a case of what it wasn't. the other wine it was served with felt like a charddy so I picked that as the theme."

Medium lemon in the glass. STRONG oak on the nose, so I’m expecting this to be either - a) IKEA furniture store or b) bit oaky but still letting the fruit shine. Unfortunately, it was a). This really bring the new wood-vanilla vibe to the table and doesn’t let the fruit shine for a second. Like yeah, there is some citrus in there, but the acid is complementing the oak. Hallooo? No balance whatsoever. Don’t see this aging well either. Pass.

Maybe a little greener than other vintages but stylish stuff. Flavoursome without weight.
Can continue to be cellared.
