Really big and bold! Thick and concentrated Bolgheri Bordeaux Style Blend. (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petite Verdot). Blackberry and plums dominate with hints of tobacco, smoke, licorice and spices. Fresh flavors and beautifully balanced. Outstanding!

Had this red at home with some home made spaghetti and meatballs . Double decanted & aerated the wine. Still has a lot of life left and wish I opened it a couple hours earlier. Lots of cherry & wood with a strong acidic finish.

Ouvert et bu. A perdu ce profil un peu fatigant de fruits sur mûris au bénéfice d’une palette plus large avec épices et un côté minéral bienvenu en fin de bouche.

A portion of the vineyards higher in elevation and older vines and half of it is Cabernet, and then about 30% Merlot, 15% France, 5% Verdot. With all of that there is also more oak aging as well and then held in bottle as well. '17 was hot and dry for much of Italy including here, somewhat on par with 2013 vintage. And the vine age combats that. THe result is a very showy and pretty wine is the idea. I think it shows very dark and serious.
