Surprisingly very good. Past the primary phase, entering early development. Lots of blackberry jam, and black cherry with enough developing smoked meat, juicy licorice, Timut pepper, black olive and chunky black rock to make things interesting. Structural elements looking for equilibrium. Finishes long and worked perfectly with the smoked beef tenderloin.

Really solid St. Joseph in a down-the-middle style with beef jerky, black pepper, violet, and some blackberry skin leading the way for a modestly tannic, mineral-heavy palate. More savory than anything, this is classic without being angular.

No decant, but gave the bottle 3 hours of air before diving in.
Black Cherry and Pepper dominate the nose. Light floral aspect and I get a slight gound coffee element as well.
Tasting much of the same, Black Cherry, Blueberry, and Black Pepper but also a Dark Cocoa element

Herbal, mineral, very nice structure. Cool fruit, dusty tannins. Pretty drinkable now, and probably will improve over the next several years.
