  • Velvety plush and smooth. I’m not going to overthink it. Love VV wines.

  • Three hour slow ox, followed by a two hour decant. Nearly opaque purplish magenta color. Powdered sugar covered blueberries and blackberries, milk chocolate, cream corn, and subtle cinnamon graham cracker. Smooth, dry palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

This was one of four “nice” bottles at my wife’s very small 50th b-day party. Very fun evening with a few avid wine people.

  • An hour after decanting, it’s finally wanted up from cellar temp.

Color: purple/red, deep ruby, thick and dark.

Nose: rose petal, cloves, some vegetable, not much funk.

Taste: tannic, velvet stewed dark berries, graphite, leather, coffee…

    Finish: very long and sultry.

  • Three and a half hour decant. Deep dark electric magenta color. Lush blackberry and raspberry, shortbread, violet and lime rind are all over the nose and palate. Velvety, tongue drying, chalky/dusty palate, with fine, persistent acidity. Firm, full tannins on the very long finish.

This is built, but not masculine. It’s very early in it’s drinking window. All of the beautiful nose notes carry through on the palate, which truly tastes good (and that’s rare). Still some room to grow, but this is already great.

  • Two and a half hour decant. Nearly opaque electric purple magenta color. Crunchy autumn leaves, real maple syrup, and blackberry on the nose. Very dry, velvety palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

This is already good, but very young. My score has some potential built into it because this is not yet in its true drinking window.
