  • Rewarded ourselves with this on the patio after the first day of yardwork this season. Rusty light red color, minerally-almost-earthy and savory (when they say Extra Brut, they really mean it), with hints of red currants, rhubarb and mint. A very unusual, but satisfying, rose.

  • Gorgeous strawberry salmon color. Ginger-infused scents of white orchard fruit with hints of red berry and alpine flowers. Layers of choice red fruit, charged fizz, petrol, and crushed stone on the palate. Lightly held but brilliant acidity. Lovely spine. A delicious but "quiet" wine this evening. Very nice with Chicken Nanban and potstickers.

  • Juicy nose on red fruit coulis sprinkled with salt. There is a smoky side too.

On the palate, the maturity of the red fruit is perfect. The raspberry stands out clearly, it's a bit like a fresh pie, with aromas of vanilla and smoke that intertwine. It is above all these iodized notes that make the difference in this juice of remarkable quality because it gives it a very airy side. Magnificent balance, the acid frame literally lifts the wine to tender it in the most beautiful way. Nice finish, raspberry sprinkled with iodine, it is very particular and unusual with great length.

    Delicious.

  • Very young still -- this was initially quite closed. After an hour or so a delightfully fresh, lean and fresh style emerged with essence of red currant and mint. Drank over several days, the flavors were relatively unchanged but the drinkability continued to improve. Really good, one of the better roses I've had this year. It drinks young but already at a high level and has plenty of runway to continue to improve. I will try to wait a few years before opening another, but it won't be easy.

  • Intense, saturated red color. Creamy red berry aromas with undertones of vanilla and smoke. Crisp flavor with lots of red berries, strawberries, and Pinot Meunier funk. Aggressive mousse. Interesting, complex, and quite good, but also expensive. Drink or hold.
