Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • A: pale ruby which is a little odd for this style of wine
N: cassis (primary), plum (primary), pencil shavings (primary), clove (secondary) sweet tobacco (tertiary)
P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tongue coating chalky tannin, medium body, medium alcohol, medium intensity and medium (-) finish

Wine feels insubstantial for a claret.

There is a sweet sensation hanging around long after the acidity fades. Its unpleasant. A bit off balance. intensity gets a half mark but length nor complexity figures much in the quality of this wine. Good quality quaffer.
