  • Smoke and oak on the nose. Light tannins due to age.

  • 05/04/2008 rated 84 points: Smoke and red fruit on the nose. This Rhone characteristic followed through on the palate, except there was a very distinct acidity that affected the overall balance of this red. Moderate tannins softened with good aeration (2 hours), and the overalll balance seemed to improve over time. Enjoyed this quaff with Bar-B-Q'd lamb, but would have preferred something with more length on the finish.
