Fabulous Cabernet drinking well now. Beautiful deep garnet color, cherry/berry on the nose and in tge mouth with diminished tannins and lengthy finish.

So this is the third bottle of this wine that I’ve opened since purchasing six of them from Garagiste about a year ago Sadly I did not write a tasting note for either of the previous bottles, but I remember them as being solid, well-balanced Cabs and a good QPR at the Garagiste price.
This bottle is a bit different. It has a slight effervescence that’s quite unexpected in a Cabernet Sauvignon, and I don’t remember it from the previous bottles. The wine doesn’t otherwise taste corked in any way; it’s very rich and smooth, well-balanced, fruit-forward but not cloyingly so. The slight (and I mean really slight, so slight that I keep asking myself if it’s really there or if I’m imagining it, but I’m convinced it’s there) was no less pronounced on the second night.
Anyway, this is a great wine and I have no reservations about recommending it. The very subtle fizz may be a flaw in this bottle, but it does not detract from the wine. It is somewhat reminiscent of wines produced in the style (frizzante?) of the late 18th century, which were allowed (as I understand it) to finish fermentation in the bottles, resulting in a very subtle carbonation effect.

big Bold, sweet, hot and oaky. Not what I want in a Cab.

Good. Big, fruity, and plush. Good QPR for mystery price at Garagiste, but not so much on release price.

...or 92? Rich, full-bodied cab, just entering prime drinking. Short decant ok
