  I opened this when friends came to our 5/11/18 grilled Ribeye dinner. It had a deep, rich complex bouquet of violet, black currant, plum, mocha, cocoa, licorice, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was rich, dense and layered with a creamy mouthfeel and flavors of black currant, plum, mocha, cocoa, licorice, pepper and spice. 93+

  Friends and I tasted this at the Seattle tasting room on 10/14/17. It was drinking beautifully…a deep, rich, complex bouquet of violet, black currant, plum, licorice, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was rich, layered, dense and dry with flavors of black currant, black cherry, plum, licorice, pepper and spice.

  Decanted due to copious amounts of sediment. Beautiful wine, drinking at peak. The first two hours just sang and then the last hour started to fall off a bit of a cliff. Initial nose of leather, cigar box, bitter chocolate and dried cherries. More chocolate and cedar notes on the palate along with pomegranate. Silky mouth feel with well resolved tannin structure. Good 30 second finish. Would purchase again.
