  This humble Bourgogne is quite simply a delicious drink, sure it has a few things going on that may be deemed faults (a little herbal action on the nose and firmness to the finish) but it’s punching above its weight. Some pine needle sap greets the nose along with decaying leaf, smoked meats, cherries and earth. In the mouth it is quite earthy with liqueur cherry that threads through the wine then with further air gathers at the heart of the palate. It seems to keep picking up nuance as you cuddle up to it and I reckon it still has not reached its peak.
