Wanted to save this one for HMC as we had the Stone the Crows from the same vineyard last night and wanted a comparison from him.....oh well. Late night pour for Maureen and Scott. No decant, just pour and drink. Dark rich cab fruit. Nose and palate align as the wine is very well balanced at this point. Dark red/black berries, maybe darker than the Stone the Crows which was a muddied red. Very nice.
Two hour decant. Very very deep ruby magenta color. Charred blackberry and blueberry, peony, and bran muffin. Dry, plush palate, with lingering, satiny acidity. Firm tannins on the medium long+ finish.
Same score as my other wine for the night but for totally different reasons.....
Decanted 2 hours then back into the bottle to take to HMCs for dinner. Cork removed then enjoyed by all over about 2 hours. Great, rich deep dark red fruit....perfumed a bit. Smooth integration and balance on all fronts. Nothing out of place. Been a while since I had one of these. Amazing what a few more years of bottle age have done. This is quite rich, heavy in the mouth and pleasing. Very pleasing. Almost borders on a 95 for me, personally this evening. Glad to have one left in the cellar.

A real good wine but not a "wow" wine.

Very jammy. I'd do no less than a two hour decant. Evolved nicely over the evening
