For some reason really striking to me in its smell. Smelling very good meaning. Maybe just a bit funky and earthy to it. And kinda tightly wound up on the palate as well.

A bit more medicinal on day two. Both on nose and on palate.

Surprising quaffable value for money wine from quality Brunello producer (with a long fancy mostly unimportant name) CPdA.
Made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon but from judging from palate this is in no way meant to be 'Super Tuscan'.
Fruit forward easy-drinking with med+ tannins, fruit (primarily black currant) and alcohol with acidity trailing a bit behind.
Short simple finish. Works well with food. Will buy some more of these for weekday food pairings.

With a bit of pickle juice on day two. And a bit of crunchy earthy tannins.

Some dusty wood notes on the nose, then a touch harder edged on the palate. Long bitter finish in a good way.
