Anton’s Wine Tasting Notes Envidia Cochina 2018 Winery: Eladio Pineiro. Varietal: Albariño Area/Appellation: Spain, Galicia, Rias Baixas Vintage: 2015. Price: $24 Color: Light golden yellow. Legs: medium to fast. Nose: yellow apple, papaya, grapefruit, Palate: grapefruit, mangoes, hints of blood orange, tangerine, Finish: yellow apple, mangoes, blood oranges low minerality this vintage. Even a little beeswax at the very end. Comments: Great interplay of yellow tropical fruits here, this grape gets so underrated as a stand alone grape and most people try it with food, the 2018 though seems to excel. Maybe, this is due to the higher than normal temperatures from veraison to harvest which resulted in the wines having higher than normal PH. Pairing Suggestions: I had this with Mexican style-pan seared, mahi-mahi Score in terms of Vintage: 90 Score for the Wine: rock solid 90 Value for the Money: Very Good to Excellent Date Tasted: 08/21/2020 Tasted by: ACK

Needs an hour to open. Fantastic rendition. Loads of character founded in classic flavors. Depth without heaviness.

My favorite Albariño. Mineral and easy drinking. A bit darker than common Albariños. Pineapple and peach notes. Ideal for seafood pairing. Enjoy!

Lemon and hat on the nose. Beautiful yellow grass color. Slightly effervescent and bright flavor. Citrus fruit, light acid and slight minerality.
Really enjoyed it. Fantastic summer/ seafood wine.
