WSET Dinner - Level 3 exam celebration (East Sydney): As the evening gets later I find I actually wrote no fruit notes about this wine at all! Oops! A savoury, furry, gently tannic wine, nicely balanced with moderate weight and intensity. Good persistence of finish, tending very much on the dry, astringent side. That sound all rather non-committal, but I thought this quite good, despite the apparently bland note! Something satisfying to drink while waiting for your Barolos to come around.
