A bruiser for sure and would be cool to see what it’s like with more time. Menthol, nutmeg, olive brine, bacon, a tinge of rotting meat, funk like Jamaican rum (long pond TECA mark),
Smoke, menthol and hints of tar over crushed blackberries. This is deeply saturated, primordial Syrah, yet still lifted and perfumed with fine tannins. Mmm, this is very pure and exceptionally grippy.

To say the nose is expressive is an understatement. Black berries, dark cherries, cassis, roasted meats. On the palate a lot of fruit up front with black berries, black cherries, currants. Followed by roasted meats, spice, olives, rocky earth & superb tannins. The stoniness is the star here. Very complex wine that is constantly evolving. Its primary, rich but balanced and is more elegant than all the bold flavors that I point out. A true sum of its parts.
No harm to open if you have plenty to spare. This will. benefit from couple years of cellaring and of course the structure suggests a long life. 93+

On the nose, camphor and a touch of plum. On the palate, red fruit that seamlessly combines with smoked meat, a unique sweet dusty taste that I can't relate to anything else I have had, and notes of brine and earth on the long finish, with well-balanced acidity. This is excellent, and it was an excellent value at a little over $50. Although this may improve, it's already excellent. I will be looking for more.

Needs lots and lots of time. Rather primary at the moment. Menthol and eucalyptus on the nose. Dense, textured, will live forever.
