  I am not familiar with Calif zins, so I have no real basis for evaluating this specific wine. A little spicey, generally pleasant -- not a big wine, but tasty. I have enjoyed other Easton wines (Terre Rouge Noir), and somehow, this wine reminded me of those. Perhaps there is some type of house style. Regardless, an enjoyable wine.
