18 months later and my tasting notes are pretty much identical to last time, except I feel it has filled out a bit and is even more enjoyable. Although there is only a small % of Riesling in the blend, that's the variety that makes itself known to me on the finish, after a restrained tropical-fruit mid-palate. A very pleasant wine, and fresh as a daisy at four years. Shame it's my last bottle.

Blend of 55% Semillon, 22% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Pinot Gris, 6% Chardonnay and 5% Riesling grown in the Eden Valley and Henschke Lenswood vineyard in the Adelaide Hills wine region. Very tasty and aromatic. Limes and gooseberry and guava. Strangely in a clear glass bottle. Quality:3/4 Price:2/3 X factor/ interest:2/3 Total: 7/10

Almost water-clear, just a touch of green. Attractive, fresh nose - it smells like springtime. On the palate it's gossamer light and delicate, perfectly balanced, a touch of sweetness, a touch of acidity, good length. I've seen others criticise this for its insubstantiality, but for me that's just its style, and its a style that can bring great pleasure. I believe it's a cocktail of grapes (unspecified on the label) but for me it is most reminiscent of another SA classic, Grosset's Polish Hill Riesling, albeit in a lighter, less intense mode. Screwcap, 12%.

Pleasant light style, less remarkable than the winery.
