  Unblended Cabernet Sauvignon wine sourced from the clay and loamy soils of the Agrelo region (vineyards at an altitude of around 1.000 meters, located about thirty kilometers south of the city of Mendoza). Maturation: the wine spent twelve months in French and American oak barrels of which one third were new. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Color: deep ruby-red with some purple glints. Bouquet: pronounced aromas of ripe blueberry fruit, cassis, eucalyptus and hints of graphite and cedar. On the palate: an approachable, medium- to full-bodied wine with abundant ripe black fruit, a good structure, quite smooth tannins and a well-balanced acidity. Finish: harmonious aftertaste. Drinking window: now–2027.
  
  100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon-wijn, geteeld op de klei- en leembodems van de Agrelo streek (met wijngaarden op een hoogte van rond de 1.000 meter, gelegen op ongeveer dertig kilometer ten zuiden van de stad Mendoza). Rijping: de wijn rijpte twaalf maanden in Franse en Amerikaanse eiken vaten (waarvan één derde nieuw). Gedecanteerd: één uur voor consumptie. Kleur: diep robijnrood met wat paarse schakeringen. Bouquet: uitgesproken aroma's van rijp bosbessenfruit, cassis, eucalyptus en wat sporen van grafiet en cederhout. In de mond: een toegankelijke, vrij volle wijn met overvloedig rijp zwart fruit, een degelijke structuur, al mooi versmolten tannines en een fraai uitgebalanceerde aciditeit. Finale: harmonieuze afdronk. Te drinken: nu–2027.

  Red berries, medium to full body, PnP but will win on some airating. Quite straight forward drinkable quality CS.

  Bon, le nez de fruits bleus/noirs et de graphite est invitant mas on y perçoit la bombe de fruit... que l'on retrouve en bouche à la limite de la surextraction sur des notes fumées. C'est "in your face""... heureusement pas trop de résiduel qui donnerait dans la caricature. Mais encore là, limite. Les tanins sont enrobés dans toute cette matière. Je m'attendais à plus de retenue de Catena. Je passe.
