  • Extremely well balanced notes of fruit, oak, spice, minerality. Not overly extracted, silky smooth with perfect acidity

  • I bought several bottles of this Parador wine from this vintage (and two others) and wanted to try one. One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Muted aromas during decant. Wine was clear; ruby from bowl to rim. After resting: nose of cedar, red currant and blackberry brandy, some wet stone as well. In the mouth, this is an old-style Cabernet with restrained red and black fruits, plenty of structure, and great balance. Finish is medium-long and ends with a mineral counterpoint. Frankly, I think I drank this wine a couple of years too soon.
