Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 90.4 points

  • Decanted for 90 minutes.

Ruby, turning a touch garnet in the glass.

Aromas of ripe black plums and blackberries, hints of leather and some tobacco.

Decently smooth, medium-full bodied. The fruits were little on the jammy side. Stewed plum, ripe dark berries and other fruits. Secondary notes of leather come through well. Tannins are chalky but decently integrated into the wine. The finish with car-seat leather lingers on, medium+. Structure was pretty much textbook. The wine illuminates the wine upon entry and is just great overall.

A nice, no-frills Napa cabernet. I do want to make note of the "stewed" fruit flavors on the palate; I wish the fruit didn't tasted less jammy. But boy, a tasty Napa with a balance between primary and secondary notes.

I do not see any extraordinary benefit to aging this further. This is at it's plateau. 91-92 pts. Drink up now.
